EarthSwitch Architects delivered an off-grid architectural solution for Kaapmuiden Primary School in Nkomazi. The R2.5-million project features a flexible learning space that converts into dual classrooms, supported by an integrated kitchen and ablution facilities. Engineered for environmental sustainability, the facility incorporates solar power, borehole access, and Jojo rainwater harvesting tanks to eliminate reliance on municipal utilities, expanding critical educational capacity while incorporating an interactive road-safety playground.
